New Business Start-up seminars
Ever thought about starting a business? This 2 hour, 1 off  seminar is held each Friday between 10am and 12 noon at 399 Cashel Street.
           
Day course
Our day courses are scheduled to run on a Tuesday between 9.am and 1pm.
             
Evening course
Our evening courses are scheduled for 3 nights each week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) over two weeks.  Dates and times are available on our courses page.
                       
Migrant course
Our courses for new migrants are scheduled over two weeks Monday to Friday. Dates and times are available on the course page.

Recover Canterbury

Business & Financial Assistance Available

Recover Canterbury has a team of Business Recovery Coordinators available to provide and procure business recovery assistance and advice to Canterbury businesses that have suffered damage or loss.

Business assistance including financial assistance and grants, business mentoring and access to professional services is customised to ensure a healthy and timely recovery and revival of your business.

To apply for business assistance and access to a Business Recovery Coordinator please complete the Recover Canterbury Application for Assistance (Part 1).

To apply for financial assistance you need to complete both Parts 1 & 2 of the 
Canterbury Business Recovery Trust Fund Application.

CBRT is a collective fund managed by Recover Canterbury to provide cash injections into strong but earthquake-affected businesses to ensure, firstly their survival and subsequently their revival.

Uses of the fund include, but are not limited to, such things as:

  • Funding interest on loans over a critical period
  • Connection to essential services such as telecommunications
  • Restoration of damaged ICT hardware and files
  • Access to expert advice and assistance
  • Funding a marketing campaign

100% of donations made to the fund will go back into Canterbury businesses. Approved funds will be available for distribution from 1 June, 2011.
