A programme aimed at people who wish to become Metro Urban Bus Drivers. This highly successful programme has been run for 6+ years and placed over 400 people in the Metro Urban Bus Driving Industry.
The programme consists of a course of 8 weeks which covers:
- Employment Skills
- The Passenger Endorsement (P)
- Preparation for the full licence test
- Passing a fit and proper person check
- Assessment drive in a large vehicle
- Completing a corporate defensive driving course
- Gaining skills to pass your Class 2 licence
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants need to be referred by Work and Income
- Class 1 driving licence (Full Class 1 for 2 years)
- A clean-ish driving record. Especially over the last 5 - 7 years.
