  Migrant Business Training

Christchurch Small Business Enterprise Centre (CSBEC) is currently running migrant programmes funded by the Ministry of Social Development. Enrolment is open to new migrants.

There are no tuition fees but participants must have New Zealand residency for less than two years and not be eligible for a Work & Income core benefit

The provision of zero fee programmes has enhanced the education of migrants about business practices and investment opportunities in New Zealand. Many migrants who have attended these courses have gone into self-employment or employment because they have a better knowledge of the types of successful businesses in New Zealand and how they work.

CSBEC is a private training provider registered through Industry Training New Zealand with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) under the terms of the Education Act (1990).

The Centre offers the following migrants course in either English, Chinese or Korean languages.
